Discount Calculator

This step-by-step guide will help you calculate discounts in various currencies:

Step 1: Set Your Currency

1. Click the currency dropdown menu (default is INR ₹)
2. Select from available options:
   • INR (₹) – Indian Rupee
   • USD ($) – US Dollar
   • EUR (€) – Euro
   • GBP (£) – British Pound
   • JPY (¥) – Japanese Yen
   • RUB (₽) – Russian Ruble
   • KRW (₩) – South Korean Won

Step 2: Enter Original Price

1. Click in the “Original Price” field
2. Enter the full price before discount (e.g., 1000)
3. Do not include currency symbol – it will be added automatically

Step 3: Select Discount Type

1. Choose between two calculation methods:
   • Percentage Off: Discount calculated as percentage of original price
   • Fixed Amount Off: Flat amount subtracted from original price

Step 4: Enter Discount Value

1. For Percentage Off:
   • Enter the percentage number (e.g., 20 for 20% off)
   • Must be between 0-100
2. For Fixed Amount Off:
   • Enter the exact amount to subtract (e.g., 200)
   • Cannot exceed original price

Step 5: Calculate Discount

   • Or press Enter after typing discount value

Tips for Best Results

• For percentages, you can enter decimals (e.g., 12.5 for 12.5% off)
• The calculator prevents invalid inputs (discounts >100% or >original price)
• All amounts display with two decimal places for currency accuracy
